I am very happy to share the joy of art with others, and Lowell is an excellent place to do it. The Lowell community has always been supportive of the arts, and has particularly been very welcoming of local talent like myself. I have found that even the artists themselves have embraced one another and have in turn created a tapestry of inspiration. Lowell is a great venue because it offers metropolitan sophistication in a warm, hometown environment. I am thrilled to host a solo show in a city that I hold dear, and also to be part of the buzz that is happening in Lowell.
I started drawing before I knew how to spell. My other gave me my first drawing lesson in the art of sketching. Since then my goal was to render photo accurate images of wildlife. Nature inspires me yet today, and with my academic background I combine the freedom of childhood creativity with technical skill to create memorable art that is evoking of emotions and personal memories. I am aware of how color and simple forms can affect moods as well, as I believe that art is a form of communication. Also, with my love for art history, I will often refer to masters like Monet or Rembrandt among others, and even play on traditional artistic philosophies.
Regardless of form or function, I am privileged to be able to share art with the people who inspired it, and also to share my love of nature.
